Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar F-Type is a two-door sports car manufactured by the British automaker Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque since 2013. It is the otherworldly replacement for the renowned E-Type. It is also the first sports car from Jaguar after the production of the XK was discontinued in 2014. The car was first revealed to the public as a concept car at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The production version of the F-Type was unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. It is accessible in both convertible and roadster body styles. The car is powered by either a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 or a 5.0-liter V8 engine. The F-Type has a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h) and can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 4.1 seconds for the V8 S Convertible and 3.9 seconds for the V8 S Coupé.

The Jaguar F-Type has won several awards since its launch in 2013In and 2014, it was named the "Most Beautiful Car of the Year" by the Festival Automobile International. In 2015, it was called the "World Car Design of the Year" by the World Car Awards. In 2016, the Jaguar F-Type was named the "Ultimate Convertible" by the Ultimate Car Buyers Guide.

Design

The Jaguar F-Type is based on a shortened platform of the XK convertible. It uses an aluminum chassis that is 50% stiffer than the XK's. The F-Type has a twofold wishbone front and back suspension. The car is available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The F-Type has a unique design that is inspired by the E-Type.  It has a long hood and a short back deck. The vehicle has a wide position and a low focal point of gravity. The F-Type is available with either a soft top or a fixed roof. The Convertible has a power-operated soft-top that can be opened or closed in 12 seconds. The Coupé has a fixed roof that is made of aluminum.

The F-Type has a modern interior with a simple and clean design. The car has sports seats that are available in either leather or Alcantara. The F-Type has a start/stop button that is located on the center console. The car has a touchscreen infotainment system that is located on the center console. The F-Type has a flat-bottomed steering wheel available in either leather or Alcantara. The car has a sporty instrument cluster with a large tachometer.

The F-Type is available in several different exterior colors. The car has several different wheel designs that are available in either 19-inch or 20-inch sizes.

Powertrain

The Jaguar F-Type is available with either a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 or a 5.0-liter V8 engine. The F-Type V6 is available in two different power outputs. The base model has a power output of 340 hp (250 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. The F-Type S has a power output of 380 hp (280 kW) and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque. The F-Type V8 is available in two different power outputs. The base model has a power output of 495 hp (369 kW) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque. The F-Type SVR has a power output of 575 hp (430 kW) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) of torque.

The F-Type V6 is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The F-Type V8 is only available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The F-Type R is only available with an all-wheel drive system.
