The Tesla Model S is a five-door liftback all-electric vehicle made by Tesla Motors. The Model S was presented in June 2012. It scored a perfect five-star safety rating in every category and subcategory from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to Tesla Motors, the Model S is the world's first mass-produced, highway-capable, all-electric vehicle.

The U.S. is the leading market with about half of global sales. Norway is the Model S's second-largest market with about 10% of global sales.


As of December 2015, the Tesla Model S is the world's all-time best-selling plug-in electric car, with cumulative sales of over 150,000 units.


The Tesla Model S has won numerous awards, including the 2013 Motor Trend Car of the Year, 2013 World Green Car of the Year, 2013 Car and Driver 10Best, Time Magazine Best 25 Inventions of the Year Award, Consumer Reports top-scoring car in its annual auto reliability survey, and Automobile magazine's 2013 Car of the Year.


Description


The Tesla Model S is a five-door liftback sedan produced by Tesla Motors. Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk said that the Model S is "the best car in the world, period".


The Model S was introduced in June 2012. It is available in four variants: the 60, the 60D, the 75, and the 75D. The 60 and 60D have a rear-wheel drive and a 60 kWh battery, while the 75 and 75D have a dual motor all-wheel drive and a 75 kWh battery.

All variants of the Model S have a 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) time of 5.6 seconds, and all variants have a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). The drag coefficient for the Model S is Cd=0.24.


The Model S has a five-star wellbeing rating from the Public Parkway Traffic Wellbeing Organization. The Model S has also received a Euro NCAP safety rating of five stars in every category and subcategory.


According to Tesla Motors, the Model S is the world's first mass-produced, highway-capable, all-electric vehicle. The U.S. is the leading market with about half of global sales. Norway is the Model S's second-largest market with about 10% of global sales.

The Mercedes A-Class is a compact executive car produced by the German automaker Mercedes-Benz since 1997. The original (W168) was presented in 1997, the subsequent age (W169) in late 2004, and the third era (W176) in 2012.


The A-Class is positioned below the Mercedes-Benz B-Class in the product range.


First generation (W168; 1997–2004)


The W168 was introduced in September 1997, and was based on the Mercedes-Benz concept car A-Class, which was designed by a team of designers under the direction of Peter Pfeiffer. The production version was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1998, with sales starting in Europe in September 1998.

Second generation (W169; 2004–2012)


The W169 was introduced in late 2004, and was based on the Mercedes-Benz concept car A-Class Sport.

The Kia Carnival is a minivan manufactured by Kia Motors, introduced in September 1998, now in its third generation and marketed globally under various nameplates, most prominently as the Kia Sedona. The Kia Carnival is a van produced by the South Korean manufacturer Kia Motors since September 1998. The BMW 5 Series is a series of mid-size luxury cars produced by the German automaker BMW since 1972. It is in its seventh generation and is the New Class's replacement. The 5 Series sits above the 3 Series in BMW's lineup and below the 7 Series in terms of price and size.


The 5 Series was originally launched in 1972 as the New Class Sedan, and was BMW's first foray into the mid-size luxury car market. The car was designed to replace the aging 3.0 CS and 3.0 CSi models, and was available in both sedan and coupe body styles. The 5 Series was initially powered by a range of inline-four and inline-six engines, but BMW later added V8 and V12 engines to the lineup.


The first generation 5 Series was succeeded by the second generation in 1981. The second generation 5 Series was available in sedan, coupe, and wagon body styles, and was powered by a range of inline-four, inline-six, and V8 engines. The Peugeot 3008 is a compact crossover SUV produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot since May 2008. In China, it was marketed as the Dongfeng Fengshen AX7.


The 3008 was launched as the replacement for the Peugeot 307 SW, and it shares the same platform as the Peugeot 207 and the Peugeot 208.


The 3008 is available with a choice of four petrol engines and three diesel engines. All engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission, with the exception of the 1.6-litre petrol engine, which is also available with a six-speed automatic transmission.


The 3008 was facelifted in 2012 and again in 2016.


First generation (2008–2016)
