BMW 3 Series | The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. It is the successor to the 02 Series and has been produced in six different generations.

The BMW 3 Series is a reduced leader vehicle fabricated by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. It is the replacement to the 02 Series and has been delivered in six distinct ages. The first generation of the 3 Series was only available as a 2-door sedan/saloon (model code E21), however, the model range has since expanded to include a 4-door sedan/saloon (E30), 2-door convertible (E30), 2-door coupé (E36), 5-door station wagon/estate (E34), 5-door hatchback (E36) and 3-door hatchback (E46). The third generation of the 3 Series was produced in the 2-door coupé and convertible body styles.


The fourth generation of the 3 Series was introduced in 1998 and was available in the sedan/saloon, station wagon/estate, and convertible body styles. The fifth generation of the 3 Series was introduced in 2005 and was available in the sedan/saloon, station wagon/estate, convertible, coupe, and hatchback body styles. The sixth and current generation of the 3 Series was introduced in 2012 and is available in the sedan/saloon and station wagon/estate body styles.







The 3 Series has been the best-selling luxury car in the world for several years. The 3 Series is also one of the most successful cars in motorsport, with victories in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM), the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC), and the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
