Daihatsu Move
The Daihatsu Move is a kei car produced by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu since 1998. It is available in hatchback, saloon and van bodystyles. It is Daihatsu's response to the Honda Life and the Suzuki Wagon R.
First generation (L600; 1998–2003)
The Move was introduced in August 1998, and available only as a five-door hatchback. It uses a 660cc DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission. A four-speed automatic transmission was available as an option for the Move L600.
The Move was facelifted in October 2000, and now available with the 1.0 litre DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine from the Daihatsu Mira. A new four-speed automatic transmission was also introduced for the 1.0 litre engine.
Second generation (L700; 2003–2006)
The second generation Move was introduced in May 2003. It is available as a three-door hatchback and a five-door hatchback. The three-door model is called the Move Custom, while the five-door model is called the Move Conte.
The Move Custom uses a 660cc DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission. The Move Conte uses a 1.0 litre DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission.
Third generation (LA100; 2006–2014)
The third generation Move was introduced in October 2006. It is available as a three-door hatchback and a five-door hatchback. The three-door model is called the Move Custom, while the five-door model is called the Move Conte.
The Move Custom uses a 660cc DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission. The Move Conte uses a 1.0 litre DOHC three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission.
Fourth generation (LA110; 2014–present)
The fourth generation Move was introduced in May 2014. It is available as a three-door hatchback and a five-door hatchback. The three-door model is called the Move Custom, while the five-door model is called the Move Conte.
